About

Explorers U11 Blues train on Saturday mornings coached by Rikki Fifton (FA Level 1) and Hus Amnour (FA Level 1) and all coaches have full DBS certification, First Aid, and Child Safeguarding training.

Matches are 9 v 9 and played in the Thames Valley Football Development League

Player development is key to our coaching and we train to the FA Long-Term Player Development (Four Corner model) where we focus on :

  • Technical: Ball control, Possession, Positioning, Foot Skills, Understanding Pressure, Making Space, and Group play.
  • Psychological: Decision Making, Gaining confidence, Patience, Making and Learning from Mistakes, Rules, and Awareness
  • Physical: Movement On/Off the ball, Co-ordination, Conditioning/ Health, and Challenges
  • Social: Communication, Self-Esteem, and Teamwork
